Why I don't believe in Christian counseling
Hannah and I have discussed this point over and over again, since we've both been through Christian counseling, and it didn't help either of us. Today again I saw a link to a site which waxes lyrical about how counseling should be Biblical and whatnot, and I just got fed up again at Christian counseling, and decided to blog about it.Read more »
The Sound Guy Neck Crane
Hannah and I came across a blog called "Stuff Christians Like" on a friend's blog roll (list of blogs a person reads), and after reading the first couple of posts, we were hooked.
One post in particular caught my eye: The Sound Guy Neck Crane
As a person who does sound at my church from time to time, you won't believe how often I experience this! I'm glad to see it doesn't only happen in my church!
Effective Church Presentations
One of my pet peeves is those OpenOffice.org Impress or Microsoft PowerPoint presentations that folks do in churches. I've seen too many half-hearted efforts in the 28 years I've been in church.Read more »

So, knowing this, I thought I'd get a Panado (light painkiller), just to see me through church that evening, and then I'd have some Myprodols (heavy painkiller) when I got home, since Myprodols put me to sleep and I don't wanna fall asleep at my drums.Read more »
Marriage and God's plan
On Sunday I heard a very interesting sermon by a local chap by the name of Simon Clegg. He heads up an organisation called the City Partnership, which is an organisation for Christian business men and women. But his sermon wasn't about that. It was about marriage.
I have converted this to an article . You can find it on the articles page.Marriage and God's plan

But what was really interesting about it was how the whole sermon came out of Genesis 2, and what it contained. We looked at Genesis 2, from about verse 4 to the end. However, the key verses were really from verse 18 and onwards. Read more »
