So I saw this interesting little thing on a friend's Facebook profile, and I thought it might be fun to do it and show all you blog readers what my life's soundtrack would be. Read more about If your life was film what would the soundtrack be?...

Yes... we have to move... again...

I was really hoping to stay here in Muizenberg for more than just about 18 months. We really enjoy living here, and it's affordable. Unfortunately, we can't do that much longer.

The person who owns the town house we're in is our landlord's son, who has been in the UK for a few years, but now wants to return to South Africa. Unfortunately for us, that means that he wants his house back, and we have to move out. It's a pain, but I understand why, and I'm not complaining. Read more about Moving... AGAIN......

Right. So I'm still bored. So I decided to download and install a new theme for our blog. What do you think? Let us know, comment on this blog entry.

It's Friday afternoon in the office, and let's admit it... no one ACTUALLY wants to work. Fortunately for me, the weekly "Crow's Nest" e-mail from the project office came through, and with it, two jokes that amused me and brightened my afternoon. Herewith are those jokes, since I reckoned it would possibly please some of our readers too... Read more about Two Jokes...

Now, I have to start off by saying that I don't know why it's called the happiest day of your life, because my wedding day wasn't. I was too busy making sure everything was going to be ready, and then too busy concentrating on not making any mistakes when I said my vows, etc. Having said that, however, I did enjoy the day, and was really glad to finally be married to my wonderful wife. Hannah and I have sorted through and uploaded the best wedding photos for your perusal. Reception photos will appear later, and photos of our honeymoon will be up in a few weeks time (we took lots of photos, so we've got a lot to wade through).

Blog posts detailing the wedding day and the honeymoon will appear shortly. In the mean time, enjoy the wedding photos! Read more about Much awaited wedding photographs...

So I finally got through to Home Affairs this afternoon. At this stage I'm really frustrated with them, and all the hassle I've gone through.

After trying all the normal numbers at my disposal, I decided to try this other number I was given, which is for Ms Allie, the head of Home Affairs in Wynberg. Mrs Coetzer, the lady who deals with the immigrations applications, answered, and I told her my story. She wasn't sure what I was talking about, and said that she would look, and then phone me back. Well, Hannah's folks arrived last night. The plane was due to land at 20:40, but only landed at 20:56. Then they had to get luggage, and that was another 15 or so minutes. So eventually we got out of the airport at about 21:45. Then the dads went off looking for the car hire place, and that took goodness knows how long. All I know is that after leading them to their hotel and checking them in, it was well after 22:00 when we made our way home. Read more about Arrival of the (future) parents-in-law...

Well, I managed to get hold of home affairs yesterday and they said that the person in charge of the home affairs office wanted to interview us, most especially Hannah. So I asked the chap on the phone when we could come in for an interview, and he said anytime. So we decided to go in this morning. Read more about Please pray for us...

Indeed, it has been a while since either of us has posted. I've been prodding Hannah to write up our experience of pre-marital counselling, but she doesn't seem to get the hint. But, I shall persist.

In the mean time, we've had our first session of "The Marriage Course" (wonderfully original names some of these courses think up for themselves). That was fairly interesting, because it was an introductory and a assessment session. Read more about Long time no smell...
