31 Days of Parenting Littles: Look

"Look Mommy! Look! Look! Look Daddy! Look!"

Every parent knows this refrain well. "Look! A leaf! A caterpillar! A flower! Look! I'm running SO FAST! Look! I can climb the slide! Look! I can slide down the slide! Look Mommy! Look!"

Right now Josiah is especially excited about having us look at everything he does and sees. He runs around saying, "sah! sah!" which means "see! see!".

I'm interested if Anneke will want us to look at different kinds of things than the boys do when she's their ages. At one moms and tots get together, there were a bunch of boys ranging from about 5 months to 5 years old, and ONE girl who was just under two years old (right around Josiah's age at the time). A helicopter flew over and every boy who was old enough to recognise the sound immediately looked up and started pointing- "Look! Look! A helicopter!" And the little girl was just not interested in the slightest- didn't even look up!
